As a mom of two littles, I have come to the conclusion that body weight workouts need to be my back up plan for working out.  It never fails that at least once a month, my plans to hit up the gym get bombarded with an errand, a sleepy kid or some random “to-do”.  And because I prefer to workout in the gym, I need to always have a back up plan.

You might wonder why I don’t just workout from home anyway primarily.  To be honest, I hate it.  Yes it may have its conveniences but its just not the same.  I don’t go as hard, I don’t do as much and its not my workout vibe.  However, it is my back up option when push comes to shove and I need to get a body weight sweat sesh in!  If you are ever in a pinch and miss the gym or maybe just getting started to the fitness game and looking for some simple yet effective no equipment workouts, then I’ve got 4 good options for you!

These workouts require zero equipment and can all be done in under 20 minutes!  Perfect in-a-pinch workout!

Workout #1-

Reps: 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10

Push ups + Squats + Squat Jumps

Workout #2-

20 min AMRAP
(as many rounds as possible)

20 Sit ups

20 Alternating step ups

20 Plyo lunges

Workout #3-

5 rounds as fast as possible

10 Burpees + standing tuck jump (jump knees to chest)

15 Push up to Down dog

20 Alternating side lunges

Workout #4-

15 min AMRAP-

5 Inch worms

10 Ice skaters (side to side broad jumps)

15 Wide stance squats
